Vaz Oliver is a singer-songwriter and composer based in Berlin. Born in Madrid, he has spent the last fifteen years playing more than 400 concerts across Europe, North America and China, from small clubs to theatres and open-air stages, and has released ten records of his own, ranging from folk to electronica.

His latest album, Los Tiempos (2026), was his first in Spanish, and his next record, The Shore, returns to English: its first single, Like a Shadow, is already out, and the full album follows in early 2027.

Since 2016 he has also been writing original music for theatre, performance, film and contemporary circus, working with companies and artists in Spain, Poland and Germany. His live score for Walter Ruttmann’s 1927 silent film Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis, which he performs solo to the projection, has been part of his repertoire since 2022 and is now being prepared for the film’s centenary in 2027.
